The intent of JazzGraphs is to provide interesting windows into the world of jazz &#8211; it&#8217;s labels, musicians, and genres. These may take the shape of network graphs detailing connections between musicians, labels, recordings, and songs, or in the form of more conventional charts providing unique insights.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the data behind the scenes will come from the <a href=\"http:\/\/musicbrainz.org\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MusicBrainz<\/a> database, while visualization tools will include <a href=\"http:\/\/gephi.org\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gephi<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/sigmajs.org\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sigma.js<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/exploratory.io\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Exploratory<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JazzGraphs is a project developed and curated by Ken Cherven, a Detroit-based jazz fan and data visualization enthusiast.
